Questions about this product

What temperature should I set my soldering iron to for this wire?
This eutectic 63/37 alloy melts quickly and cleanly at exactly 183°C (361°F). We recommend setting your soldering iron temperature between 300°C and 350°C (572°F to 662°F) for the best flow. This range ensures rapid heat transfer without burning the rosin core.
Do I need to clean off the flux residue after I finish soldering?
No, you don't need to clean it off. This solder uses a CF-10 no-clean rosin flux core that is completely non-corrosive and non-conductive. You can safely leave the residue on your circuit boards without worrying about damage.
How do I choose the right wire diameter and reel weight for my project?
We offer wire diameters from 0.5mm for fine surface-mount components up to 2.0mm for heavy-duty wiring. For general electronics and PCB work, the 0.8mm or 1.0mm size is usually your best option. You can buy these in either 50g or 100g plastic reels depending on how often you solder.
