- How deep can this scanner detect studs, metal, and live wires behind my walls?
- Detection depth depends entirely on the material you are scanning for. It detects ferrous metals up to 100 mm deep and non-ferrous metals up to 80 mm. Live AC wires are detectable down to 50 mm, while wood studs scan up to 38 mm deep.
- What comes in the box, and do I need to buy anything extra to start using it?
- You will receive the WD-01/WD-02 multi-scanner unit, which features a digital display and built-in positioning hole. You must purchase a 9V battery separately, as one is not included in the package. Once you insert the battery, the tool is ready to use.
- How do I calibrate this wall scanner to ensure I get accurate readings?
- This scanner features automatic calibration, so you do not have to perform manual adjustments yourself. Just power the unit on and place it flat against your wall. The digital display and audible tones will guide your scan immediately.
