- What's the actual detection range and angle for this sensor?
- This sensor covers a wide 120-degree detection angle. It can reliably detect human presence at a distance of 7 to 10 metres, depending on the sensitivity you set.
- How is this different from a regular PIR motion sensor?
- A standard PIR sensor only detects movement, so lights can turn off if you sit still. This mmWave sensor detects actual human presence, even if you're sleeping or reading, so it's much better for presence-based automation.
- What are my power options? Can I wire it into the mains?
- Yes, this sensor is designed for a permanent installation and doesn't use batteries. We offer versions that can be powered directly by 5V DC, 110V AC, or 220V AC, letting you choose the right one for your wiring.
