Normal Usage (Connecting to a PC or Mac) A hard drive docking station like this 5-bay model allows you to connect 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives to your computer via USB. It functions as DAS (Direct Attached Storage) extension storage, similar to an external enclosure, but with the convenience of easily swapping multiple drives. This is ideal for quick data access, backups, or transferring files without needing to install drives internally. The device connects using a USB Type-C or USB 3.0 interface to your PC or Mac. Step 1: Connect the Dock First, ensure the docking station is placed on a stable surface. Connect the power adapter to the docking station and then plug it into a mains socket. Next, connect the supplied USB cable (either USB Type-C or USB 3.0, depending on your computer's ports and the cable provided) from the docking station to an available USB port on your PC or Mac. Do not power on the unit yet. Step 2: Insert the Hard Drive or SSD Gently slide your 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drive into one of the available bays. Ensure the drive is seated firmly in the connector at the base of the bay. This product supports both 2.5" HDD and 3.5" HDD types.
