Normal Usage (Connecting to a PC or Mac) A drive docking station like this 2-bay RAID model is used to connect 2.5 inch SATA SSDs or HDDs to your computer via USB. Step 1: Connect the Dock First, connect the power adapter to the docking station and plug it into a mains socket. Step 2: Insert the Hard Drive or SSD With the docking station connected, you can now insert your 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD into one of the two bays. The tool-free design means you simply slide the drive into the available slot until it is firmly seated. This unit can accommodate two drives, each up to 8 TB capacity. Ensure the drive is correctly oriented before inserting it. Step 3: Power On & Access Data Once the drive or drives are inserted, switch on the power using the power switch on the docking station. To do this, insert the source 2.5 inch SATA SSD/HDD into the first bay and the target 2.5 inch SATA SSD/HDD into the second bay.
