Normal Usage (Connecting to a PC or Mac) This Drive Docking Station allows you to connect 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch SATA hard drives (HDD) and solid-state drives (SSD) to your computer via USB 3.0. It acts as an external enclosure, making it straightforward to access data from internal drives without needing to install them inside a PC. You can use it to retrieve files, back up data, or transfer large volumes of information from one drive to another. The dock supports a maximum capacity of 18TB for individual drives. Step 1: Connect the Dock First, ensure the Drive Docking Station is placed on a stable surface. Connect the power adapter to the docking station and then to a power outlet. Next, connect the supplied USB cable from the docking station's USB 3.0 port to an available USB 3.0 port on your PC or Mac. Ensure both connections are firm. The docking station is now ready for a hard drive or SSD to be inserted. Step 2: Insert the Hard Drive or SSD With the dock connected, carefully insert your 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD into one of the two available bays. Ensure the drive is fully seated in the SATA connector within the bay. There should be no need to force the drive; it should slide in smoothly. The bays are designed to accommodate either drive size without additional adapters. Step 3: Power On & Access Data Once the drive is inserted, turn on the docking station using its power switch. Your operating system (Windows or macOS) should automatically detect the connected drive. The drive will then appear as a new storage device in 'My Computer' or 'Finder'. You can now access, copy, and manage files on the drive as you would with any other external storage device. Offline Cloning / Duplicating (Dual-Bay Docks Only) This Drive Docking Station features an offline clone function, allowing you to duplicate an entire drive without connecting to a computer. To use this, insert the source drive (the drive you want to copy from) into Bay 1 and the target drive (the drive you want to copy to) into Bay 2.
