- How do I wire and mount this tachometer?
- Power it from an 8 to 24V DC source and connect the included Hall sensor, which has an NPN open-collector output and about a 1 meter cable. It panel-mounts in a 76 by 39 mm cutout. Place the sensor 1 to 10 mm from a magnet or target on the rotating shaft.
- What RPM range can this meter actually read?
- The 4-digit LED display reads from 0 up to 9999 RPM. It refreshes about once per second, so it suits steady motor monitoring rather than catching fast spikes. Operating temperature runs from -10 to 60 degrees C.
- Does this come with the sensor, or do I buy that separately?
- The Hall proximity sensor is included in the box along with the tachometer. That means it's ready to set up without sourcing a separate pickup. You will still supply your own 8 to 24V DC power and a target for the sensor to count.
