- Yes, these precut wraps are designed specifically for 18650, 21700, and 26650 lithium-ion batteries. They match the flat widths of these common cells, from 29.5 mm up to 43 mm. Just make sure to select the correct size option for your battery model before purchasing.
- What is the best way to apply these heat shrink wraps to my batteries?
- Slide the precut sleeve over your battery and apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer. The PVC material begins shrinking at 80°C and reaches a full shrink at 120°C. Rotate the battery evenly during heating to get a tight, snug fit without overheating the cell.
- How do these wraps help protect my battery packs from short-circuiting?
- Damaged battery insulation is dangerous, but these PVC sleeves restore a safe, non-conductive barrier around your cells. With a high dielectric strength of 20 kV/mm or more, they block electricity from jumping between cells. They also have a VW-1 flammability rating to provide extra protection against fire hazards.
