Match the thread and bore on pressure washer hose connections

Most fit problems come from thread and bore. The M22 outlet comes with a 14mm or 15mm male end, and the two are not interchangeable. One M22 set in this range lists an inner bore of 14mm, not 15mm, so check your machine first.

Some listings let you choose the bore in the options. Others are fixed. Read the thread line before you order.

• M22 male or female: check which end your machine and lance use
• 14mm or 15mm: measure the male end inside diameter against the listing
• M22*1.5 or M14*1.5: the insert connector comes in both threads
• G3/8: used on the 3/8 inch quick connector and quick plug

Choose a pressure washer hose coupler by quick connect size

Quick connect size decides compatibility between plug and socket. This range lists 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch, and one set is marked 1/4 inch, not 3/8 inch. A mismatch won't seal, so confirm the size on both parts.

Ball lock quick connect couplers in stainless steel are listed up to 5000 PSI, with a 1/4 inch NPT thread. The 3/8 inch quick connector lists a maximum of 8000 PSI. An M22 14mm to 3/8 inch adapter set with swivel lets you fit quick connects to an M22 outlet without changing the hose.

Check pressure rating and temperature before you replace the hose

For pressure washer hose replacement, work from the machine's rated pressure and flow. Pick a hose whose working pressure sits at or above it. Listings here show 160 bar (2320psi) with a burst pressure of 480 bar (6960psi), 200 Bar / 2900 PSI with a burst pressure of 8700 PSI, and a 3300 PSI at 2.5 GPM extension hose.

Inner diameter on these hoses is 1/4 inch. Maximum temperature is 60°C (140°F) on the listed hoses, so don't feed them hot water beyond that. Length options are 6m, 10m or 15m on the M22 extension hose, and 10m on the others.

Pick material for the duty

Brass fittings, including the M22 14mm swivel, suit general trade use. Stainless steel suits wet or washdown environments, and one range member is listed as 304 grade. The steel and nylon insert connector is a lighter option for 14mm or 15mm hose.
