- What types of wires and jacks can I plug this tracer into?
- This kit connects directly to telephone lines using the built-in RJ11 plug. You can also use the included alligator clips to connect to bare wires, network cables, or electrical wiring.
- What comes in this kit, and do I need to buy batteries?
- The kit includes one tone generator and one sensitive receiver probe. You will need to purchase two 9V PP3 batteries separately to power the units. Built-in RJ11 and alligator clip connectors are ready to use right out of the box.
- Can I use this tracer outside or on active electrical lines?
- This kit is rated strictly for indoor environments between 0°C and 40°C. Do not use it on live, high-voltage circuits. It is designed for de-energized wire tracing and continuity testing under 100 Ohms.
