- What's the measuring range and accuracy of this ultrasonic module?
- The JSN-SR04T can measure distances from about 25cm up to 4.5 metres. Its measurement accuracy is generally around 0.5cm, but this can vary a bit based on the target surface and environmental conditions.
- How do I wire this sensor up to an Arduino?
- It's a straightforward 4-pin connection. Connect the VCC pin to your Arduino's 5V output, GND to ground, and the Trig and Echo pins to two separate digital I/O pins. Most standard ultrasonic sensor libraries will work with it straight away.
- Does 'waterproof' mean it can measure distances underwater?
- No, it's an airborne ultrasonic sensor, so it measures distance through the air. The 'waterproof' part refers to the transducer head, which is sealed against rain and splashes, making it suitable for outdoor use or for measuring liquid levels from above the surface.
