- Can this find wires buried underground?
- Yes. It traces buried cables and wires hidden behind walls using a tone generator and probe. People use it for electrical wiring, network runs, and locating irrigation system wires. It reaches up to about 2 meters deep.
- Which cable types can it test?
- It checks RJ45, RJ11, and BNC cables, covering UTP, STP, coaxial, and telephone lines. It tests for continuity, shorts, and open circuits. So you can verify network and phone wiring after an install.
- What comes in the box?
- You get the transmitter, the receiver, test leads, and a carry case. The transmitter runs on 6 AA batteries. Both units have low-battery indicators and auto power-off to save charge.
