Questions about this product

What are these belts actually made of?: The main body is a black neoprene rubber, which gives it flexibility and resistance to oil. Inside, it has glass fibre cords running the length of the belt for strength and to stop it from stretching under load. The tooth surfaces are covered with a nylon fabric to help with wear.
Can I cut this belt to a shorter length if it's too long?: No, these are closed-loop belts, manufactured as one continuous piece. Cutting the belt would sever the internal glass fibre tension cords, and it would no longer be able to transmit power. You must order the correct loop length for your machine.
How do I know which width to choose between 6mm, 10mm, and 15mm?: The width you need depends on the torque you're transmitting and the width of your pulleys. A wider belt, like a 15mm, can handle more force than a 6mm belt without skipping teeth. Check your pulleys and your application's power requirements to select the correct width.

This HTD3M timing belt is a closed-loop rubber belt. It's made for precise motion control in smaller machines. The '3M' means there's a 3mm space between teeth, a common size for desktop equipment. Since it's a continuous loop, this 3M belt is strong and ready to install. Features and Benefits - HTD 3mm tooth design - The High Torque Drive tooth shape connects smoothly and accurately with 3M pulleys. - Closed-loop construction - It's made as one continuous loop. This keeps the belt strong and whole. - Neoprene with fiberglass - This material mix resists stretching, heat, and oil, so it lasts longer. - Different sizes available - You can buy this HTD3M belt from 90mm to 255mm long, and in 6mm, 10mm, 15mm or 20mm widths. Applications - 3D printers - A common HTD3M belt for driving the X and Y axes on many popular printer models. - Desktop laser engravers - It helps the laser head move accurately across the work area for detailed results. - Light-duty CNC machines - Good for small routers or mills that need accurate placement for detailed work.

Product Type: Timing Belt. Profile Type: HTD 3M. Tensile Member: Fiberglass (Common). Q: What does 'HTD 3M' signify for this timing belt? A: The '3M' specifies the pitch of the belt, which is 3mm from the center of one tooth to the center of the next. 'HTD' stands for High Torque Drive, which refers to the deep, rounded tooth profile that engages with the pulley for positive power transmission.. Q: What does 'HTD 3M' signify for this timing belt? A: While it would physically fit, it's not a good practice because the belt could 'walk' from side to side on the wider pulley. For best performance and alignment, you should always match the belt width to the pulley width.. Q: I have a 15mm wide pulley. Can I use a 10mm wide belt on it?
