Questions about this product

How do I choose the right pulley for my timing belt and motor shaft?: First, check your belt is an HTD 5M profile with a 5mm tooth pitch. Next, pick a pulley with a slot width that's slightly wider than your belt (e.g., the 16mm slot for a 15mm belt). Finally, select the inner bore diameter that matches your motor shaft size exactly.
How does this 'keyless' bushing attach to a shaft without a keyway?: This is a keyless locking pulley that grips the shaft using friction. When you tighten the built-in screws, they force an internal tapered sleeve to contract, clamping down firmly and evenly around the shaft. This gives you a secure connection without needing a keyway or grub screws.
What material are these timing pulleys made from?: The main body of the pulley is machined from aluminium alloy, which is lightweight and helps with heat dissipation. The flanges on the sides that guide the belt are made of galvanised iron for rigidity.

This HTD 5M timing pulley has a keyless taper bushing for a tight, centered fit on a motor shaft. This design provides accurate power transfer without any play for motion control systems. It installs fast and stays secure without needing a separate keyway. Features and Benefits - Keyless taper bushing design - Clamps onto the shaft with even pressure, stopping slips for accurate motion. - Made from aluminum alloy - Gives it strength while keeping its turning weight low for quick starts. - Fits many belt widths - Available in sizes for 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, and 25 mm wide HTD 5M timing belts. - Many bore sizes - Comes in common bore diameters from 5 mm to 14 mm to fit many stepper motor shafts. Applications - Building or upgrading the belt drive system on a 3D printer or laser engraver. - For use in custom robots where exact positioning and torque transfer are important. - Driving the axes on a DIY CNC router that needs a dependable connection between the motor and belt.
