- What is a soldering third hand used for?
- It holds circuit boards, wires, and small parts steady while you solder or inspect them. The four flexible arms position pieces exactly where you want. That frees both your hands for the iron and solder.
- What surface does the magnetic base stick to?
- It grips any steel surface, like a steel workbench or a metal tool tray. Each arm magnetically holds about 1.5kg in place. On a wood or plastic bench the base won't magnetize, though its 1.8kg weight still keeps it fairly stable.
- How many arms and clips do you get?
- You get four gooseneck arms, each 300mm long, with an alligator clip on the end. The clips have heat-resistant silicone covers so they grip without scratching. The base measures 200mm by 145mm.
