- What size parts can the clamps hold, and how strong is the magnifying glass?
- The alligator clips open up to 25 mm wide to secure small circuit boards or wires. The glass lens is 60 mm wide and provides 3X magnification for detailed work.
- Is this stand safe for sensitive electronics and high-heat soldering?
- The heavy cast iron base and built-in holder safely cradle hot soldering irons during use. However, this unit is not ESD safe, so take precautions with static-sensitive components.
- Will this stand slide around or tip over while I am soldering?
- It won't tip easily thanks to a heavy cast iron base weighing about 0.8 kg. The steel alloy arms and ball joints stay locked in place once you adjust them.
