Questions about this product

Will this tester get damaged if I plug it into an active PoE port?
No, it will not burn out. The tester features built-in anti-burn protection up to 60V DC. This protects the circuitry when you connect to active IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at PoE lines.
How long of a network cable can I troubleshoot with this tool?
You can test network and telephone cables up to 300 meters in length. It accurately checks UTP, STP, FTP, and RJ11 lines. The pin-to-pin LED sequence displays wiring faults across this entire distance.
Does the tester come with a battery, or do I need to buy one?
The box includes the main unit, remote unit, and a user manual. It does not include the required 9V alkaline battery. You must buy the battery separately, which then provides up to 50 hours of use.
