Questions about this product
- What's the maximum temperature this thermocouple can read in my kiln?
- This K-Type thermocouple is designed for high-temperature environments like ceramic kilns and forges. It can accurately measure temperatures up to 1300°C (2372°F). The ceramic tube protects the probe from the extreme heat.
- How do I connect this to my digital pyrometer or controller?
- It comes with a standard two-prong connector that plugs directly into most digital thermometers. If you're wiring it to a temperature controller, you can detach the yellow connector and connect the wires straight to the controller's terminals.
- Can I shorten or bend the probe to fit my specific setup?
- You shouldn't shorten the ceramic sections, but you can adjust the installed length. The probe has extra wire at the joins, which lets you carefully bend it to position the tip exactly where you need it inside your kiln or furnace.
