- What are the exact chassis dimensions and mounting requirements for this rack unit?
- The metal chassis measures 490 mm wide, 256 mm deep, and 46 mm high. It fits standard 19-inch 1U server racks directly using the integrated rack ears. At 256 mm depth, it easily fits into shallow wall-mount comms cabinets.
- Are the 10G SFP+ and 2.5G network ports compatible with FreeBSD and Proxmox?
- Yes, Proxmox VE handles both the Intel i226-V 2.5G ports and the Intel SFP+ controllers natively. FreeBSD-based systems like OPNsense also detect these Intel controllers without third-party drivers. That makes it well suited for high-throughput routing between gigabit and 10-gigabit links.
- What internal storage drives can I fit into this server chassis?
- The motherboard provides two NVMe M.2 slots for high-speed solid-state drives and two standard SATA ports for mass storage. You can mount two 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch hard drives inside the case alongside the M.2 SSDs. Keep in mind that cables and drives are not included in this barebone base bundle.
