- What comes in this DIY kit, and do I need to buy anything else?
- This kit includes the main welder unit, welding cables, and starter nickel strips. You must supply your own 18650 lithium-ion battery to power it, as one is not included.
- How thick of a metal strip can this spot welder actually handle?
- This portable welder is designed to work with nickel strips between 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm thick. It delivers a peak output current of 639 amps to make clean, secure welds on these materials.
- What kind of battery do I need to use with this spot welder?
- You will need a 3.7V to 4.2V 18650 lithium-ion battery to power this unit. The welder connects to your battery using an XT60 input connector and a JST balance connector.
