- Yes, this strip is specifically designed for building 18650 and 21700 battery assemblies. You will need a resistance spot welder to fuse it to your cells. Standard soldering irons won't work well for this material.
- Is this strip made of pure nickel or is it nickel-plated steel?
- This product has a steel core with a thin layer of nickel plating on the surface. The plating is typically two to five micrometers thick to prevent rust. It gives you good weldability and corrosion resistance at a lower cost than pure nickel.
- What are the exact dimensions of this roll and how much do I get?
- Each roll contains 10 meters of strip that is 0.15 millimeters thick. This thickness is ideal for standard battery spot welders because it doesn't require excessive power to fuse. The 10-meter length gives you plenty of material for several custom battery packs.
