- What does the IP65 rating on the front panel actually protect against?
- The IP65 front face seals completely against dust and handles low-pressure water jets from any direction. That means you can wipe it down on a workshop floor or food prep line without water getting in. The rear housing needs a sheltered enclosure or cabinet, as only the front screen carries that water ingress rating.
- Can this industrial panel PC run both Windows and Linux?
- Yes, the x86 processors (J4125, J6413, or N100) support standard 64-bit operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 11 IoT, Ubuntu, and Debian. The 10-point capacitive touch panel works out of the box with modern Linux kernels and Windows touch drivers. Just plug in your boot media via the USB ports to set up your chosen OS.
- How do you mount this unit into a machine console or enclosure?
- This is an open-frame embedded unit meant to drop straight into a cut-out on a kiosk, control cabinet, or machine console. You secure it from behind using the side-mounting brackets so the IP65 front bezel sits flush against your outer panel. It also provides standard video inputs including DVI and D-SUB to connect auxiliary screens.
