- What wire sizes does this heat shrink kit cover?
- The assortment runs from 4mm up to 32mm diameter, so it fits everything from thin signal wires to thick cables and connectors. The 4:1 shrink ratio grips snugly even over irregular shapes. Pick the size that's a bit larger than the part you're covering.
- How do I shrink and seal the tubing?
- Slide the tube over the joint and heat it evenly until it shrinks and the inner adhesive flows out. It starts shrinking around 70C and fully recovers near 125C. A heat gun works best; keep it moving so you don't scorch the tubing.
- What makes the dual-wall adhesive-lined design better?
- The outer polyolefin wall adds mechanical protection while the inner adhesive melts to seal out moisture and block corrosion. That combination protects splices in damp or exposed spots. It also rates RoHS compliant with a -45C to 125C operating range.
