- What does EN50155 compliance mean for this industrial PC?
- The EN50155 standard means the unit withstands the vibration, shock, and electrical fluctuations found in railway and rolling stock setups. It accepts a wide DC input range from 9V to 36V, so it handles dirty vehicle power without crashing. The fanless case also stops dust and track debris from getting drawn inside.
- What serial and GPIO equipment can I wire directly to this box?
- You get four dedicated RS-232 ports and two switchable RS-485/422/232 ports, all on standard DB9 plugs. It also includes a 14-pin Phoenix terminal block with 7 digital inputs and 7 digital outputs for PLCs and sensors. This lets you connect legacy machinery and automation relays without external USB converters.
- Can I install extra storage drives inside the chassis?
- Yes, the board includes one mSATA slot and connections for internal 2.5-inch SATA drives. You also get one DDR4 SODIMM slot that takes up to 16GB of 3200MHz memory. Two Mini PCIe slots are open inside if you want to add an internal 4G modem or Wi-Fi card.
