It's made for electronics repair, including SMD and BGA rework. The hot air gun lifts and reflows surface-mount parts, while the iron handles regular soldering. Think board repair, desoldering, and joining small components.
How hot does it get and how fast does it heat up?
The hot air gun runs 100 to 480 C and the iron runs 200 to 480 C. Hot air reaches 300 C in under 10 seconds, the iron in under 5. Temperature holds steady within about 1 degree.
Will this work on my mains voltage?
The unit runs on 220-240 V AC. The product copy mentions 110V and 220V support, but the listed input is 220-240 V, so check your supply before ordering. Total output is 760W, split as 650W air and 75W iron.
