Questions about this product

Can I use these carbide drill bits in a standard handheld power drill?
No, we do not recommend using them in hand drills. Solid tungsten carbide is highly brittle and will snap if there is any hand movement or vibration. You should only use these bits in rigid setups like CNC machines, milling machines, or precision drill presses.
What are these drill bits made of, and how hard are they?
These bits are made from solid uncoated tungsten carbide with a hardness rating of HRC 65. This hardness lets them cut through tough metals like 304/316 stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steels. They maintain their sharp cutting edges much longer than standard high-speed steel bits.
Do I need to use coolant or cutting fluid when drilling with these bits?
Yes, we highly recommend using a through-tool coolant or cutting fluid, especially when drilling deep holes in stainless steel. Coolant prevents heat buildup and protects the uncoated carbide from premature wear or cracking. Running them dry in hard metals will significantly shorten their lifespan.
