- What is this tweezers soldering station designed for?
- The YIHUA 982D-III is built for SMT and SMD micro component rework. The dual tweezer tips grip and heat small parts from both sides, which is handy for removing tiny resistors, capacitors, and chips. It's aimed at fine work rather than big through-hole joints.
- What soldering tips does this station use?
- It works with C210 cartridge tips, a common standard for precision micro soldering. ESD-safe tips protect sensitive boards from static. Stick with C210-compatible cartridges so the fit and heat transfer stay correct.
- Does it need calibration before use?
- It calibrates automatically, so you don't have to tune temperature offsets by hand. Just plug it into 110V or 220V AC and set your temperature with the rotary encoder. The digital LED shows the reading so you can confirm it's heating correctly.
