- I have an older M.2 SATA drive with just a B-Key. Will it work in this dual protocol enclosure?
- No, this enclosure is not compatible with M.2 SSDs that have only a B-Key connector. It is designed for drives with an M-Key (for NVMe) or a B&M-Key (for both NVMe and SATA). Please check your drive's key type before you order.
- Why are two different speeds listed? Which one will I get?
- The speed you get depends on the type of M.2 drive you use. If you install an NVMe SSD, the enclosure can reach transfer speeds up to 10Gbps. When using a SATA SSD, the maximum speed is 5Gbps.
- Do I need to check the physical length of my M.2 drive before buying?
- This enclosure is designed to hold the four most common M.2 drive lengths. It has mounting points inside to securely fit 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 size SSDs, so no special checks are needed for these standard sizes.
