- What size air compressor do I need to run this spray gun properly?
- You need a compressor with at least 2 horsepower and a 20 to 30-gallon tank. It must supply 4 to 8 CFM of air flow. Running it on a smaller tank will cause pressure drops while you paint.
- How do I know which of the six nozzle sizes to use for my paint?
- Use the smaller 1.3mm to 1.5mm nozzles for thin materials like stains and clear coats. The mid-range 1.7mm and 1.8mm sizes work well for base coats and standard paints. Switch to the 2.0mm nozzle when spraying thicker primers.
- Is this paint gun safe to use with water-based paints, or will it rust?
- It's perfectly safe for water-based coatings because it features a stainless steel fluid path. The outer body is made of lightweight aluminum alloy. This construction prevents rust and keeps the tool durable for frequent use.
