- Will this work with a standard US outlet?
- Yes, it runs on 110V AC, so it plugs into a standard US wall outlet. The 1000W ceramic element reaches working temperature fast. Note it's 110V only, so it isn't suited to 220-240V supplies without a converter.
- How hot does it get and how steady is the temperature?
- The hot air ranges from 100C to 500C and reaches 300C in roughly 5 to 10 seconds. PID control holds the set temperature to within about 1C. Airflow runs up to 120 L/min from the brushless fan.
- What jobs is this hot air station good for?
- It's made for desoldering surface-mount components and soldering small parts. You can also use it to shrink heat-shrink tubing. The standard 22 mm nozzle mount lets you swap nozzles for different jobs.
