- How much weight can one hinge hold?
- Each hinge is rated for about 5 kg of static load, so a pair handles light doors and lids. They're best for small cabinet doors, jewelry boxes, and tool chests. For anything heavy, step up to a larger hinge.
- What size screws and holes do these use?
- The leaves come pre-drilled with 3 mm screw holes, four per leaf. They surface mount, so you just align them and drive screws into the wood. No mortising or routing is needed for a clean fit.
- Will these rust, and can I paint them?
- They're zinc-plated steel, which gives decent indoor corrosion resistance. The finish is plain and neutral, so you can paint or stain over it to match your project. For wet outdoor use, expect more wear over time.
