- For non-contact laser readings, you can measure speeds from 3 up to 100,000 RPM. You need to hold the tool between 50 mm and 500 mm away from the rotating object. If you switch to the contact attachment, the physical measurement limit is 19,999 RPM.
- When should I use the contact mode instead of the non-contact laser?
- Use the laser mode when it's unsafe or difficult to touch the moving machinery. The contact mode is perfect for getting direct physical readings or measuring linear surface speeds. This dual-mode versatility helps you diagnose HVAC fans, motor speeds, and industrial machinery easily.
