- What kind of power tools can I use with this diamond core drill bit?
- This bit features an M14 thread designed to fit directly onto standard angle grinders. You can also use it with rotary hammers or standard drills if you have an M14 adapter. Just make sure to turn off the hammer function before drilling.
- How fast should I run this hole saw, and can I use hammer mode?
- You must use rotary action only, so keep your hammer function turned completely off. For the best results in hard stone, keep your speed between 3000 and 5000 RPM. Going faster can burn out the diamonds and ruin the cutting edge.
- Do I need to use water with this bit, and how do I keep it from overheating?
- This bit is designed for dry drilling, so you do not need water cooling. However, you should use intermittent drilling to let the air cool the metal body. Pulling the bit out of the cut every few seconds keeps it from getting too hot.
