Matching Connection Types and Thread Standards

Industrial systems rely on leak-free connections under continuous pressure. When selecting pneumatic components or hydraulic fittings, you must match the thread standard of your existing system. Selecting Materials for Pressure and Environment

The choice of body and seal materials determines the longevity of your hydraulic hose fittings and pneumatic components. High-pressure hydraulic systems require heavy-duty steel or brass construction to handle extreme system pressures. In contrast, pneumatic applications often utilize lightweight aluminum, brass, or engineered polymers.

Corrosive environments, operating temperatures, and the media passing through the lines all dictate specific material selections to prevent premature degradation.

• Brass and Plated Steel: Provide high mechanical strength and wear resistance, standard for industrial quick-release air fitting bodies.
• Aluminum Alloy: Used in filter-regulator bodies like the AFC2000 series for a lightweight structure that resists external corrosion.
• Nitrile Rubber (NBR) Seals: The standard choice for pneumatic fittings, offering excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils and air system lubricants.
• Polyurethane (PU) Tubing: Ideal for flexible lines due to high abrasion resistance and flexibility under standard operating pressures up to 10 bar.

Air Preparation and Pressure Regulation

Compressed air contains moisture, dust, and oil that damage downstream pneumatic tools and valves. Integrating a modular air compressor filter and regulator ensures clean, stable air delivery and extends tool life.

Properly regulated pressure prevents tool damage and reduces energy consumption by ensuring compressors only run when necessary.
