- What exactly comes in this bundle, and do I need to buy a cooler?
- This kit includes the MACHINIST X99 Micro ATX motherboard, a Xeon E5-2640 v4 CPU, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. It does not come with a CPU cooler, power supply, or storage. You will need to buy those parts separately to complete your PC build.
- Can I upgrade the RAM in the future, and what is the maximum limit?
- Yes, you can easily upgrade the memory later. The motherboard features four DDR4 DIMM slots that support up to 128GB of total RAM. Since the kit includes two 8GB sticks, you have two open slots left for expansion.
- What kind of power supply connections does this motherboard require?
- You will need a power supply with a standard 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin EPS 12V connector. The board supports processors with a thermal design power up to 145 watts. Ensure your power unit has enough wattage to handle both the CPU and your graphics card.
