- Will this tachometer work on my specific type of engine?
- Yes, this meter works on any two-stroke or four-stroke gasoline engine. It is perfect for motorcycles, boats, personal watercraft, and lawn mowers. However, it will not function on diesel engines.
- How do I install this meter and connect it to my engine?
- You mount the display on a flat surface using the surface mount design. Next, wrap the 1.5-meter inductive cable around your spark plug wire to detect the engine's pulse. It does not require any direct electrical splicing to work.
- Can I replace the battery, and how long does it last?
- The internal CR2032 battery is non-replaceable to maintain the unit's IP67 waterproof rating. It will power the display for approximately two to three years of normal use. The meter tracks up to 99,999 RPM and 99,999.9 engine hours before rolling over.
