- How do I cure this UV coating?
- Apply a thin layer, then cure it under UV light around the 365nm peak wavelength. With a lamp over 300 mW/cm2 it sets in about 3 seconds. A weaker UV source will take longer or leave the coating tacky, so use a proper UV lamp.
- What is this UV mask used for on a board?
- It protects and insulates PCB areas, stabilizes jumper or fly-line repairs, and shields flex cables. The 10g bottle has an applicator tip for placing it just where you need it. Once cured it locks fragile wires in place and resists flux and moisture.
- How should I store it and how long does it last?
- Keep it cool, between about 5 and 25C, and out of direct light so it doesn't cure early. Stored that way, shelf life is typically around 12 months. The cured film holds up across a wide temperature range and resists mild solvents.
