Questions about this product
- Will these hole saws fit my drill?
- They use a standard shank that fits most common drill chucks and hole saw mandrels. Note the pilot drill and arbor mandrel aren't included, so you may need those separately. Run the drill clockwise as usual.
- What metals can these cut through?
- The teeth are tungsten carbide tipped, so they cut stainless steel, mild steel, alloy steel, and non-ferrous metals. Carbide handles heat better than bi-metal and stays sharp longer. Use cutting oil on stainless for the best life.
- How deep and fast can I drill with these?
- Cutting depth is about 35mm, so they pass through fairly thick sheet and panel in one go. Keep the speed low for metal, roughly 80 to 300 RPM depending on diameter. Bigger holes need slower speeds to avoid overheating the tips.
