Questions about this product
- Do I need to drill a hole first?
- No. These anchors have a self-drilling tip that bites straight into drywall or gypsum board, so no pilot hole is needed. You drive them in with a standard screwdriver or a cordless drill. The flat Phillips head sits flush when seated.
- How much weight can these anchors hold?
- In 12.5mm plasterboard, pull-out strength is roughly 15 to 25 kg per anchor. The dual-expansion sleeve spreads the load behind the wall to prevent pull-through. They're meant for medium loads, not heavy shelving or mounts.
- What walls do these work in?
- They're made for hollow and brittle materials like drywall, gypsum board, and thin meta lath. They suit panels up to about 25mm thick. They aren't designed for solid brick or concrete, where you'd want a masonry anchor instead.
