- It reads moisture in walls, wood, and masonry without leaving holes. That makes it handy for home inspections, finding hidden leaks, and checking wood for water damage. You can also test a wall before painting or repairs.
- How deep does it read below the surface?
- The pinless sensor detects moisture up to 19mm deep. It scans below the surface using a dielectric reading, so you get a sense of what's behind the face of the material. Moisture deeper than 19mm won't show up.
- Does it have pins that poke into the surface?
- No, this is a pinless meter, so it leaves no holes or marks. You press the flat sensor pad against the surface for a reading. A built-in flashlight and LCD make it easy to use in dark corners.
