- Is this strip made of pure nickel, or is it nickel-plated steel?
- This strip features a low-carbon steel core with a high-quality pure nickel plating. The plating provides great electrical conductivity and prevents rust over time. It is easy to solder and creates highly reliable spot welds.
- What kind of spot welder do I need to use with this 0.15mm strip?
- You need a standard battery spot welder rated to handle a thickness of 0.15mm or higher. Most hobbyist pulsed DC spot welders can easily weld this thickness to your 18650 cells. Always test your welder settings on a scrap piece first.
- How many battery connections can I get out of a single 10-meter roll?
- A 10-meter roll gives you plenty of material for your projects. Since typical 18650 cell connections require about 20 to 30 millimeters of strip, you can make hundreds of connections. This is usually enough to build several custom ebike or drone packs.
