- How do I install this heat shrink splitter on my cables?
- Slide the tube over your cable splice and use a heat gun to shrink it. You'll need a heat source that reaches at least 70°C to start the process. During heating, the inner adhesive melts between 80°C and 100°C to seal out moisture.
- Can I use this heat shrink tube in wet or extreme temperature environments?
- Yes, this waterproof tubing stands up to harsh conditions. It safely handles temperatures ranging from -55°C all the way up to 125°C. The polyolefin outer layer resists UV rays and chemicals while absorbing less than 0.1 percent of water.
- What kinds of cables can I use with these splitter tubes?
- These splitters work with multi-conductor cables containing two, three, four, or five individual cores. They insulate branch cable connections and protect your exposed wire splices. Just match the core count of your cable to the specific product variant.
