Questions about this product
- What does this DC breaker protect in a solar setup?
- It guards your PV strings against overload and short-circuit faults on the DC side. The thermal-magnetic trip protects inverters and panels from voltage spikes and fault currents. It's built for commercial and utility-scale arrays.
- What current and voltage is this rated for?
- It's rated 250A and 1000V DC, with a 2-pole design for high-voltage strings. The typical connection capacity is 50-95 mm² for a breaker this size. Confirm your string voltage stays under 1000V DC.
- Why does a DC breaker need two poles?
- DC current is harder to interrupt than AC, so both the positive and negative conductors get broken. The 2-pole design ensures a safe, complete disconnect under load. It mounts in standard panel cutouts with an IP20 rating.
