How to Choose When selecting a sander and grinder, consider the power source and battery compatibility. This tool uses a 21V power system and is compatible with Makita batteries. The brushless motor is a key feature, offering improved performance and durability. For sanding applications, consider the type of sanding action required; for grinding, assess the disc size and type needed for your specific materials. Grit / Spec Guide For sanding, the grit of the abrasive disc is crucial. Lower grit numbers (e.g., 40-80) are for aggressive material removal, while higher numbers (e.g., 120-220+) are for finer finishing. When using this tool as an angle grinder, select grinding or cutting discs appropriate for the material you are working on, such as metal or masonry. Always ensure the discs are rated for the tool's speed. Care & Safety Always ensure the battery is removed before changing accessories or performing maintenance. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection, especially when grinding. Keep the tool's vents clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. Store the tool in a dry, secure place away from children. Never force the tool; let the brushless motor and appropriate accessory do the work.
