- These pliers are designed to fit plastic clip heads ranging from 5 mm to 15 mm in diameter. The thin jaw thickness of 2 to 3 mm allows you to easily slide under tight fasteners. It works perfectly on standard automotive trim clips, door panels, and plastic rivets.
- Will this tool scratch my car's paint or damage delicate dashboard panels?
- No, it will not. The pliers feature non-marring nylon tips specifically designed to protect your vehicle's delicate finishes. The dual-action forked head also leverages clips from behind so you do not pry directly on visible surfaces.
- Can I use these pliers to pry heavy-duty metal clips or brackets?
- We do not recommend that. These pliers are rated for a maximum prying force of 50 Newtons, which is ideal for plastic fasteners. Hardened steel jaws handle tough plastic rivets easily, but heavy metal brackets might damage the tool.
