Questions about this product
- Which specific Ford and Volvo models does this tensioner fit?
- This pulley assembly tensioner is a direct OEM replacement for Ford Galaxy, Mondeo, and S-MAX models from 2006-2014. It also fits Volvo V70 and S80 vehicles. Please check the OEM part numbers (1S7Q6A228AD, BS7E-6A228-A, 1S7Z-6A228-AE) to confirm fitment for your car.
- When should I replace my car's serpentine belt tensioner?
- You should replace this tensioner if you hear squealing or chirping noises from the engine bay, which indicates a worn tensioner or pulley bearing. It's also essential for scheduled maintenance during major service intervals to keep your accessory drive system reliable. Replace it immediately if you notice belt misalignment, vibration, or accessory drive failure.
- What materials are used in this pulley assembly for durability?
- The pulley assembly features a precision-machined pulley with a sealed bearing for smooth operation. The main components are made from steel alloy, and the pulley itself is glass-reinforced polyamide (nylon) or steel. It also includes corrosion-resistant hardware and housing to withstand under-hood conditions.
