- This tool checks your battery's voltage and tests both coil and contact continuity in automotive relays. Dual-color red and green LEDs give you quick, clear status readings in under 100 milliseconds. You just connect the alligator clips directly to the vehicle's battery to power it.
- Can I use this tester on a 24-volt commercial truck electrical system?
- No, this diagnostic tool is designed strictly for standard 12V DC systems. It has a safe operating input range of 9V to 15V DC. Hooking it up to a 24V system could damage the internal circuitry.
- Is there a risk of damaging the device if I connect the clips backward?
- You do not have to worry about damaging the tester if you make a mistake. It comes with built-in polarity protection to prevent damage from backward connections. It also features overload protection to keep the tool safe during troubleshooting.
