- The size 16 terminals supplied in these DT connector kits are made for wire from 14 to 20 AWG (roughly 2.0mm² to 0.5mm²). It's important to match the terminal to your wire size to ensure a proper crimp and a good environmental seal.
- Do I need a special tool just to get the pins into the plug housing?
- No, once the terminal is crimped onto the wire, it just pushes into the back of the housing and clicks into place. However, a specific removal tool is needed if you want to take a pin out again without damaging the connector's locking tang.
