- How does it check moisture without leaving pin holes?
- It uses non-contact, pinless scanning to sense dampness below the surface. So you can test finished wood, flooring, or antiques without marking them. An alarm warns you when readings cross a high threshold.
- What battery does it take and does it shut off on its own?
- It runs on a single 9V battery (6F22 type). To save power, it auto powers off after 5 minutes of no use. At 180 g it's light enough to carry around a job site all day.
- What can it measure and how accurate is it?
- It reads moisture across a 0-99.9% range, covering both softwoods and hardwoods. Accuracy is rated at ±2%. It works in temperatures from 0°C to 50°C, so it's fine for site and workshop use.
