- How do I install this digital RPM meter and hook it up?
- You can mount the meter easily using the included bracket with 50 mm hole spacing. To read RPMs, wrap the 1.5-meter inductive pickup cable around your engine's spark plug wire. You can run it on the internal CR2032 battery or wire it to a DC 5-24V external power source.
- What are the maximum RPM and hour limits this gauge can measure?
- This gauge measures engine speeds up to 99,999 RPM with an accuracy of plus or minus one percent. It tracks total operating hours up to 99,999.9 hours. Additionally, the unit has an IP65 water resistance rating and operates in temperatures from -10°C to 50°C.
- Will this tachometer work on my motorcycle or small generator?
- Yes, this meter is highly versatile and works great on small engines, motorcycles, ATVs, and industrial equipment. Since it uses an inductive pickup cable to detect the ignition signal, it fits most gasoline engines. It runs fine on its own internal battery if your equipment lacks a 12V system.
